The motorhome area

The municipality of GASTES and CAMPING-CAR PARK, 1st European network of stopover areas and services for motorhome owners are partners in the management of the motorhome area.

The Gattes area, with a capacity of 80 places, is aimed at motorhome owners looking for a compromise between the calm of the lake that borders it and the many activities offered on the territory of the Great Lakes. It is located in the heart of the Landes forest, on the shores of Lake Parentis-Biscarosse and the equipped beaches, and only 15 km from Biscarrosse. Environmental aspects are very important for the municipality of Gastes which is characterized by the presence of large remarkable protected natural areas, labeled Natura 2000. Motorhome owners who choose it can also take the famous Vélodyssée - a cycle route along the ocean from Brittany to the Basque coast.  

Equipped for emptying and drinking water, sanitary facilities, sink and free wifi, it welcomes fishermen, powerboating enthusiasts, families or couples looking for calm, greenery and space.

The Tuesday morning market (from June to September), organized by the lake, in the immediate vicinity of the area, is a moment of conviviality and discovery of regional products.

Payment is made by a terminal (credit card and cash). For the safety of all, a video surveillance system has been set up.
